Any game. Any model. Any size of backlog.
We paint whole armies to a clean, consistent tabletop standard at prices most studios can't match, tell you the price per model before you ship a thing, and get them back on your table in a fraction of the time an overseas studio takes.
Per 28mm infantry model. Other scales, vehicles and monsters are quoted from the same rates. $200 minimum order. Bulk discounts on large armies.
Clean, consistent, looks great at three feet.
Contrast paints, or base coats with a wash. Matte varnish.
Full, beautiful detail. Holds up in your hand, not just across the table.
Layered and edge highlights, painted lenses and details.
For the characters and centrepieces that lead the army.
Blending, freehand and lighting effects where they fit, and a photo before it ships.

Painted sand and rim, or a clean paint job on pre-made bases.

Painted sand with an ink wash and highlights.

Sand, ink and highlights, plus rocks and tufts.

Everything above plus your extras (skulls, bits), or painting of your printed bases.
We take an army at any stage. Send a list and we'll buy the kits. Send sprues and we'll build them. Send STLs and we'll print them. It all lands in the same order, painted to the same standard.

"I started Rank & File to provide the best blend of army painting price, speed, and quality that I wanted but couldn't find anywhere else."
Hi, I'm John. I play 40k, Marvel Crisis Protocol, and Middle-earth. Every order runs through me: I quote it, I check the test model, I check the finished army before it ships, and if anything is wrong I'm there.
Rank & File is a miniature painting service for tabletop wargamers who want a whole army painted to a consistent tabletop standard without paying display-cabinet prices or waiting months for it to come back from overseas. We paint Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Warhammer: The Old World, Horus Heresy, Kill Team, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, Star Wars: Legion, Bolt Action, D&D and RPG miniatures, and 3D printed armies from any manufacturer.
Every order is priced per model from a published price list, quoted inside 24 hours, and approved twice by you: once on a painted test model before the army starts, and once on finished photos before it ships. Quoting and quality control run out of Austin, Texas, and painting happens at our studio in North America, so your models never cross an ocean. We also source kits, assemble models, print STL files and base to four finishes, so an army can arrive as a list, a box of sprues, or a folder of files and leave ready to play.
