Rank & File is a Texas company. Quotes, quality control and customer contact run out of Austin. The painting happens at our studio in North America, where a team of hobby painters works to one house standard under a lead painter who has been doing this for years. That's the whole reason we can be fast and priced the way we are: your models travel by insured ground within the continent. They never sit in a port, never cross an ocean, and never spend a month in transit.

Each level is a written recipe: the paints, the stages, the number of highlights. Every painter is trained on it and every squad is checked against it before it leaves the bench, so a 60-model army looks like one person painted it.
You approve a photographed test model before the order starts and the full gallery before it ships. John checks both personally. Nothing is committed on your behalf.
If something arrives damaged, late, or not to the level you paid for, you message John directly and it gets fixed or refunded. No ticket queue, no overseas support hours.

I've been playing wargames for 27 years. Right now it's 40k, Marvel Crisis Protocol and Middle-earth, and I love every part of the hobby: the lore, the strategy, the community, the painting table.
I also only like seeing painted armies on the battlefield, which kept putting me in the same bind: pay to get an army painted, or buy the next army. I started Rank & File to be the option I kept looking for and couldn't find, the right mix of price, speed, and quality for a whole army.
I quote every order, check every test model and every finished army, and I'm happy to get on a call before you commit to anything. I look forward to meeting you and getting excited about the vision for your army.
